Popular Post webfact
Nobody found infected by ‘privileged’ foreigners yet By THE NATION The Public Health Ministry announced on Thursday morning (July 16) that nobody was found to have been infected with Covid-19 after exposure to two cases – the Egyptian soldier in Rayong and the Sudanese girl in Bangkok. On Tuesday, lab officials said all 1,336 persons, including 886 who visited Passione shopping mall, 447 who went to Central Rayong department store and three who were summoned by an SMS from a government agency, tested negative to Covid-19. Also, none of the 267 high-risk persons in Bangkok were found infected. On Wednesday, 1,252 people in Rayong went to mobile biosafety units to take tests and their results are not out yet. The story kind of contradicts itself, but no doubt the outcome will be; luckily no one was infected due to Thailand's super efficient Covid-19 staff getting to everyone that was exposed, to get them tested so quickly, and the Egyptian debacle was just a big misunderstanding. 13 1

Popular Post Zikomat
Probably, some unknown environmental factors destroy the virus once it crosses the Thai border. Finally, Thailand has a real chance to become a Health hub number one in the world. If so, expect 400 mln visitors next year. Time to buy one of those failed Pattaya bars. 2
The Barmbeker
So, the 14 days incubation- periode is not relevant anymore? And they REALLY want to make me believe, the whole "tracing"- show, they put on here, worked? Yeah...I also believe in unicorns! 1
Dialemco
What a lot of nonsense political games to justify continued state of emergency and maybe announcement of economic crisis Thai entry requirements are similar if not the same as other bordering/nearby countries and not likely to be lifted anytime soon.

Popular Post sitti
Well, you can try to bash Thailand but doesn't change the fact that whatever Thailand is doing to fight covid19, it has been proven they are doing far better job than those in farang lands. Mung
Most Thai people I've known over the years cannot stand the Chinese, but maybe the xenophobic campaign against faring will detract away from the fact this virus originated from China

First you say it doesn't care about rich or poor but you think it does make a difference between old or young ?? People of all ages died from this virus and in many countries they held young children away from old people because they carried the virus didn't get very sick from it but infected the old more risky to die . If they were doing the anti-body test, it would probably show negative during early incubation, if I understand correctly. But, not sure what type of testing they did/are doing. tomazbodner
Still possible that Thailand has some sort of herd immunity as it was open to Chinese for 8 months after first cases were seen there but not yet recognised as COVID. At that time few if any wore masks. I remember myself being more sick than even around early December. I mean flu or a bad cold would hit me on many years but last year was magnitudes worse than usual. But I got over it in a few weeks. Many people I know also got badly sick around that time, Nov-Jan. So maybe we already got through COVID. Question is how many of us still have any antibodies left... and how much these would protect us against Italian strain of virus... DLock
Wasn't the foreigners fault. It was incompetent Thai officials who wanted to show they had power by waving them through the COVID-19 procedure on arrival. 1
