A very staid and respectable Doctor was being cross-examined in a murder case by an inflated ego carrying young Barrister:

B. Now tell me doctor, did you check the deceased pulse?

D. No,

B. Signs of breathing?

D. No.

B . Nerve sensations?

D. No.

B (Triumphantly) Then doctor, you pronounced this man dead, without any standard tests?

D. Me Lord, the victim’s brain was in a glass jar in Formalin, on my desk. But counsel could well be right, who knows - he may well be out there somewhere – practising Law"!
