I wouldn't be so sure about that. When the No Chinese and foreigners sign went up in Chiang Mai the local police visited and put a stop to it

These are ALL factors when considering if you want to retire and spend 10 MILLION baht in LOS over the next xx years.  

 

I'm personally not going to, and this is definitely one reason why.

 

the 90-day thing is the big one....plus others.....we all know.

 

It's all about the FUTURE.  If a teenager back backer is denied because of his passport, feelings will be hurt and NOT forgotten.  It simply makes zero sense to discriminate against farangs.  

 

IF  10000 chinese planes arrive tomorrow, i could see a business doing some more checks before allowing patrons....but we have all been here together for months.

Their little puff piece had 2/4 of the special VIPs on the car with a mask off, and no social distancing.

I see far more Thai people with masks down on their chins or their noses sticking out on the everyday trek. 

The difference in the West is that hospitals and insurance companies get more $$$ for reporting china flu deaths, and there are few institutions as economically corrupt as US health care. 

Please let me know where you're seeing all these mask-less Farangs so I can sit and stare them down with my imposing figure and home-made filters.

More likely owner doesn't want to be seen to be accepting of foreigners (farangs actually; I'm sure other Asian visitors would be fine) as it might reflect poorly on their business (in their eyes) and of course xenophobia. It'll become more commonplace I'm afraid. Would like to return someday, but to experience Thailand even more distrusting of foreigners would not be nice.

This restaurant say “ no foreigner”. Is everybody, not say “no farang”.

i live Ranong. Is border with Burma. I try social distance from Burmese now. Burma have border with India. India big problem covid. 

 

If india person spread to burma person maybe the Burma spread to me. Then I spread to dad and mum. Then they die.
