what meditation method? I had that only once, Christmas 1973. Watched the Dali Lama on TV but was disappointed though, it was a let down he just babbled on about mending watches. So not any emotional reaction and no drink or drugs involved. Meditating that night which I had been doing for a year experiencing nothing it blew my head off, light, sounds, feeling like I was in the middle of an expansive somewhere. Amazing, but never happened again.

A long time ago in a land far away ,i worked for a dept store ,we used to store xmas gifts in the old offices ,all in lines with nos ,(before hire purchase) people would pay weekly until the xmas gift was paid for ,when there with various other staff ,we always heard footsteps in the corridors outside the office we were in ,after weeks of this we always joked it was the ghost ,also at night lights would go on and off ,the police(they patroled in those days) would ring our boss at home to ask was anyone there ,

anyway after a few months it was the last day when one of the girls and i were taking the last of the parcels downstairs to take to the store for the customers ,she gasped "Bert look" ,i turned and at the top of the stairs an old guy smiled at us ,then disapeared .

we were told it must have been the old manager of the offices who had died in his office years before when they were occupied 

thats it . do i believe in Ghosts ,no i believe you die and thats it ,but we both saw him.????

Twice more , not sure if paranormal ...but odd.    First time in 1970 we went overland from England to India then on to Singapore and then on to Perth.    Lots of thoughts about stuff before we went , I said one dream I had " I was driving a green Landrover beautiful green hills either side ".   Well my mate said that is not happening as we are going in a white Bedford Dormobile.  On getting to Perth I worked for Australian Aerial Mapping.  After a few months I got a trip back to Perth and was aked if I would drive a Landrover back up to Robourne in the North west.  About halfway back  there I was driving between green hills either side.

Second time ...................................

There are other, VERY real states of mind. Would not staying for 3-4 days in a super clear, almost thoughtless state of mind where NO suffering or pain is possible be great?

I know for sure that its what has kept me going, with a wrecked body from 30+ years of illness.

 

Also consider experiences like this:

 

When visiting the Emerald Buddha together with my family here, something just "flipped" and I started navigating the place kinda looking for things different than what actually are there now, "seeing" a different building adjacent to the main one and such. Different colours of the main temple, and then when entering a VERY clear voice telling me that it should be 3 meters above the floor, not 5.

As well as seeing myself in the mirror, and then going "what!!! Am I such a horrible, white blob???"

Gradually wore off, didn't really talk to much about it even to my wife - but later in the day I started drawing up some details & checking them online. Should have told her before checking those 5-7 details...

They all matched with 3 years from 1795 or something...

In my mind I have absolutely no doubt any longer that there is something in us that reincarnates, and also something that is fundamentally able to reach anywhere...
