I have a SONY ICF-7600GR which has decided to pack-up due to not using for quite awhile. It just does not switch on.

Is there any place in Bangkok or Hua Hin/Cha am where I could get it repaired?

Was it working on batteries?

Do you have the 6 volt power adapter with it?

Changes are that if batteries were used and left inside the connection has gone bad caused by corrosion/leaking.

Take the batteries out, rub it on a fabric and use a old tootbrush to gently brush the contacts in the battery compartment (the plate and spring).

Ofcourse, the batteries need to have juice ????

If it is not working with an power adapter (Six volt) or batteries with clean contacts.

Is the display showing nothing? Even briefly after inserting the batteries?

Then the internal has to be checked.

In Bangkok there are several places to go, Ban Mor in Chinatown for example, but you can try to look in Hua Hin / Cha-am area first.

I don't know what's around there but it won't hurt to go look at technology related centers.

I am sure some phone repair shops/booth can check it for you. It's electronics and it has buttons.
