It is the UK governments fault...not France, Europe or the immigrants.   If the government closed down and arrested the people running the sweat shops, farmers basically using slave labour,

No, what I do is point out the realities of why refugees flee.

You can’t refute that so you deflect.

The reality is that's part of the DNA of their countries to keep their people poor and ignorant, so that they can submit them using religious beliefs. The more ignorant the better. The more the population is booming the better. It's the norm.

Now I don't see why we should sponsor these regimes and their populations.

Pseudoscience nonsense in opening sentences. Didn’t read beyond them.

Are you talking about the UK now?

Except the pictures show many women and children.

Even The Mail acknowledges that: A newborn baby, a heavily-pregnant woman and children are among 120 migrants to land in Kent today

Oh boy one woman and a couple of kids and about 117 men landed today ,oh sorry ,i did not realise so many women and children arrived????

I'm talking about countries that produce " asylum seekers" " fake asylum seekers - real economic migrants - documented or not." since decades, poor countries with booming populations - mostly uneducated.

Yesterday French border police found 8 illegal migrants - half of them minors - Bengalis and Pakistanis - hidden in a truck, from Italy... just 1 example - destination : the UK..

Why worry about these illegals?  The UK is beyond hope.  It is a cesspool.  Enoch would turn in his grave.  I'm proud to be English and am amazed at what I see and read about the UK in the news, (not just concerning immigration).  I'm happy that I left 20 years ago.....

Obviously not been back lately and relying on secondhand accounts.

I have been following this thread and others ,it seems we have about 4 souls on here who are all for the invasion of Britain by these  deserters from their lands ,wonder what would have happened if all the men in Britain had run away when war broke out .

I know the usual people will come on and talk about "deflection" or how that is not the same ,but if life is so bad in their countrys ,and i see that most of these countrys are mainly Muslim ones ,why do they not head for a Muslim country or to the first safe place? why do they insist on coming to lands where most of the inhabitants dont want them?

Illegal immigration is a problem; and a growing one, which needs to be dealt with; but humanely. This is the UK, a civilised country. We have a history of accepting refugees going back at least to Dutch Protestants fleeing Spanish persecution in the 16th century.

But I am not saying that we should simply welcome this current lot. Obviously each case has to be looked at and assessed. Chancers should be sent back; but the genuine should be allowed to remain.

Those who don't surrender to the authorities should, when caught, be confined in Immigration Detention Centres until their cases are decided.

Of course, placing every migrant/refugee/asylum seeker, call them what you will, in IDCs would require the building of many more.

Sending them straight back to France, without at least the agreement of the French government, would be breaking international law.

"If a boat carrying people is found within national waters it's fairly clear-cut - that country has a duty to rescue them to a place of safety.

In international waters, it's slightly less clear and may vary on a case by case basis. But there is still a legal obligation to rescue those in distress and take them to a place of safety

Could the French do more? Certainly. But it is not just their problem.

After Brexit is complete and the UK is no longer subject to the Dublin Agreement, the French will not be obliged to do anything. We need their cooperation and Patel trashing the French rather than talking to them doesn't help!

That is not what the Mail article says.

You should read articles before commenting on them; stops you looking so foolish.

Funny you should mention this.....my father, born 1918, told me he was sat (as a kid) on a charabanc listening to two old guys bemoaning the violence and gangs in Liverpool, how the whole situation was totally out of control and how they could only see things getting worse.....(ha! Some might say they were right I guess)

Why do the left condone illegal activity, what message are we sending out by rewarding illegal behaviour. If migrants want to come to our country let them do it legally, it's not that difficult.

Now that is fun......might get a Schengen visa next time, fly to France and get a dinghy across the channel ......quicker, cheaper and easier.

Gangs of today only fight with each other as well, as do all other gangs , gangs dont go around attacking random people and if you arent in a gang, you will not have any issues with them

Trouble is ,there are hundreds of them ,and they are on the whole not original native British(you just have to look in the papers at their pictures to see that) and they fight and kill amongst the ordinary people , but we all know it ,just some will never admit it but will make excuses . anyway the wife is calling ,my hot chocolate is on the table ,so night night ,and dont let the illegals bite
