Long-tail boat operator’s body found 11km away from incident site

Police have found the body of the long-tail boat operator, who had disappeared when his boat was flipped on Monday (August 10) by strong waves in Thong Ching Bay in Nakhon Si Thammarat’s Khanom district.

 

The tourist who had hired the boat to observe pink dolphins died in the accident.

 

Khanom Marine Police Station reported that the boatman’s body was found on Tuesday, 11 kilometres from the site of the accident.

 

The family has been devastated by the news, while police have said they will conduct an autopsy before releasing the body for funeral rites.
