Popular Post webfact
No plans to open Thai skies yet: Aviation authority By The Nation The Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT) has yet to consider allowing international commercial flights to enter Thailand but was monitoring the improving Covid-19 situation in many countries, said director-general Chula Sukmanop. It will need to consult with the Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) before deciding whether to open Thai skies to international traffic, he added. CAAT has given the green light for certain groups of foreigners to enter Thailand from July 1. The11 groups permitted to fly into the country range from Thai nationals to foreigners and their carers seeking medical treatment in Thailand (except for Covid-19). All arrivals will be tested for Covid-19 and must follow CCSA and Department of Disease Control rules, including mandatory two-week quarantine. Popular Post oompie69
Maybe as soon as a certain national airline has been given assurance that creditors will not attach its planes when they make use of airports in other countries. 17th August has been mentioned as as a very auspicious date. Might take a week post that date to get it all sorted out and then the most important phase will begin- the mooting and mulling We might even be surprised with a starting date of as early as November 2020. Of course this could be also 2021 0r 2022. Who knows. 5

Having been quoted $16,500 for a 1 way flight, still waiting 2 months now for australian boarder force permission to travel, and its impossible to get a covid19 test done within 72 hours of flying. Popular Post steven100
COVID19 has caused an absolute world disaster. It has exasperated the suffering of the poor. It has expedited the suffering of the lower class and middle class income earners. It has cost millions upon millions of jobs worldwide. It has or will cause families to lose homes, cars and other worldly possessions. As confirmed, this disaster was initiated & instigated by China as such they are responsible for all of the above. 41 3 1 2

Popular Post AndrewMciver
I do not blame Thailand for not opening up so easily. Go look at the infection rates in some countries that have just opened up, and it's crazy. Their economies are in free fall because consumers are lacking confidence to go out, education is effected, and then of course there is the horrendous health problems people are having. Keep it closed till as such time there is effective treatment and/or vaccine. If Thailand opens, they will hurt the citizens by infecting them. One point of call, they must keep their 'hidden' borders monitored. Go look at Vietnam, and how people sneaked in spreading the virus. 3 1

mtls2005
Nine out of ten ASEAN countries remain closed. The tenth requires a deposit, and a whole host of other requirements. There are a lot of jobs available, otherwise why would there be millions of foreign workers here. Unfortunately these jobs require one to work on their feet, and not their backs, or rear-ends. Time to move on from the foreign teat. What ever happened to the "Sufficiency Economy"?

Some places in Europe and elsewhere have been quite good at controlling it. It would be nice if Thailand could slowly and selectively and sensibly start opening its borders for foreigners who are willing to follow the rules. 3

These rates are with some forms of 'social distance/lockdown'. Now imagine the numbers without any implementations. It's not a bloody flu. We all want to get back to normal, and hit Thailand's bars, beaches, Nana Plaza, but suggesting they should open up is ridiculous. Any benefits to their economy from a few tourists will be negated by the cost of a health care pandemic. Popular Post brain150
I would really like to know where all these numbers come from. According to Scientists from Universities in Germany and Canada the PCR test does not show an infection or the virus !!! It actually shows just genetic material which is produced by the body. The hospitals are empty ... Still people BELIEVE their very trustworthy Governments ???? or the Media like BBC CNN HSNBC ... The Nation ???? (just to name a few) who have all a really good track record of being fully trustworthy and honest ???????????? Facebook, Twitter, Youtube all censoring any information that says "The VIRUS" is not as dangerous as they say ... Stupid people wearing stupid masks ... they probably also leave their pants on when they go to the toilet .... The world is an insane place and gets more insane every day ! Even a 3 year old kid can see through this HOAX !!! ... maybe because the Brainwashing is not that advanced in children, but with making them wearing masks and being super scared to infect their Grandmas they will be traumatised for life !!! ... what is going on and being done by Governments is plain EVIL !!! And they know it !!! Edited August 12, 2020 by brain150 2 2
