TNN reported that four schools in Srisamrong district of Sukhothai in Thailand's north had been closed after the Yom River burst its banks.

Both sides of the river were inundated with water.

And it was only expected to get worse as water flows from further north into Sukhothai.

The Srisamrong kindergarten, as well as Pracha Uthit, Ban Klong Tan and Phung Hua schools were shuttered.

Water levels from the local market to the Ban Rai intersection were as high as 1.5 meters, said the media.

I guess they won't be starting fires for the next few days.

It floods every year there. Even during the so called dry months there's always flooded fields. This is just one of not to good ones.
