St George's Church Sunday Service

Thirteenth Sunday after Pentecost

August 30 @ 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm

The congregation of St George's Church extends to you our warmly invites you to share with us Holy Communion (note: social distancing is being observed).

The service starts promptly at 3:00pm followed by afternoon tea or coffee.

If you are able, bring some non-perishable snacks, biscuits or to add to the tuck box!

How to find us:

We meet at the Redemptorist Center Chapel, Father Ray Foundation, which is located just off the Sukhumvit Road.

If you are not able to attend service, you are able to see service later when it is uploaded onto YouTube.

About Us:

St George's is an Anglican / Episcopalian congregation.

We are a small, and a dynamic congregation full of love for Jesus; surrounded by God’s grace.

We have each and all found ourselves in a place faced with so much need, so much human suffering, so much wasted potential; so many lives living without the love of Jesus, without Christian values.

Both in spite of and because of where we meet and where we live there is a great potential for Ministry, to invite and confirm more people to celebrate His love and to support others in their faith.

To fulfil our purpose we recognize the need to work with others in our community and we invite you to come to worship with us.

St George’s is proud to describe itself as one of the most inclusive churches in Thailand, with a diverse and friendly congregation, welcoming of all God’s children.

Directions:

Turn left traveling North after Soi 36/1 at the sign that says Father Ray foundation through a green wall.

Follow the road and the chapel will come up on your left.  Alternatively, enter from the back gate off Soi Paniadchang traveling North.

This is the Soi that runs off Pattaya Klang at Big C.

Again a green wall with a sign for Redemptorist Vocational School for the Disabled.

Follow the road and the chapel will come up on your right.

I have attended Christ Church in Bangkok a number of times over the years but never been to St George's. Best wishes to you.

Out of curiosity do you stand by the 39 Articles?

The 39 Articles are very much ‘of their time’.

As you may know, a priest's cassock has 39 buttons, and by tradition each will leave unfastened one button for each of the 39 he can't accept.

Often there will be 3 or 4, though not adjacent, and therefore will pass unnoticed  except to the 'cognoscenti’.

Nowadays few clergy would accept them all without varying degrees of reservation.

We recommend you watch last weeks service and you will see that we adhere strictly to Anglican liturgy which may resonate with you.

In any event, we hope you decide to pay us a visit.  You will find our congregation very welcoming of you.

Prayers and best wishes+
