UK warns EU on Brexit: We won't blink first

When you say this is what the "UK" wants, what do you mean with UK here?

- UK politicians like Boris?

- UK citizens?

- UK business?

I guess you will mention that referendum were 52% votes to leave the EU. Yes, they did that. And the politicians promised at that time that the EU-UK trade agreement would be the easiest ever, nothing will change, etc..

Now what happened with that promise?

How many people would have voted for hard Brexit with no trade agreement? Definitely a lot less than 50%.

You have just made that up, Cameron definately stated, and it is well documented that we would be leaving the single market and the customs union prior to the referendum. Now if you want to cherry pick comments that some politicians made after the referendum that is entirely your choice, but it would not have made a scrap of difference to the outcome of the referendum because subject to what remainers come up with, people actually did know what they were voting for how ever much spin you want to put on it.

Good on the UK. Be tough and protect our fisheries.

  • Should the UK go for no deal over an economic sector (fishing) that amounts to 0.12% of the overall economy, and less than 0.1% of employment? Even the UK leather industry is slightly larger and will

  • The crooks, who have already made hundreds of millions through Brexit and stand to make much more, managed to fool a minority of mostly English people into voting for Brexit and they continue to keep

lol and if that referendum was rerun tomorrow in light of the clear catastrophic lies that were pushed by the Tories what do you think the result would be !!

Firstly you'd have a full turn out this time and likely in excess of 75% wishing to rightfully remain and likely higher

Its been an utter appalling shambles and you know it......

What is that 75 % figure based on ?

I haven’t seen anyone “stamping and kicking their feet”. Except the UK maybe who seems to feel a great need to tell everyone that it “won’t blink first” and want to be “taken seriously”.

It worked in 1939, eventually, and let's not forget Horatio's Fleet...., old boy......????

Cherry-picking what some people said and then claiming it was written in invisible ink on the ballot paper is what Brexiteers do.

Too many bad losers remainers are more concerned what was not written on the ballot paper, than what was actually written on it, just to refresh your memory.

There you have it. Nowhere on the ballot paper does it say anything about how a free trade agreement may or may not look like with regards to fishing rights, ECJ, state aid, etc. Still some Brexiteers like to make that up.

You cannot “half leave and half stay”. The UK has left the EU. It’s no longer an EU member. That is what people voted for according to the ballot paper. It’s done.

Still brexiteers try to tell others people in fact voted for many other things, such as the details of a free trade agreement, which, of course, was never part of the referendum and ballot paper.

It doesn't say on my house that it is number 8, because that would be lying, so we have to go on what number the house actually is, now we don't want to confuse the postman now do we, stick to the real number on the letter and it will have a more chance of reaching its destination.

So did you vote leave based on remaining in the single market or trading on WTO terms?

They do. When it comes to fishing rights, the ECJ, state aid, they claim that that is not what people voted for.  Even though what people voted for has already been implemented and is done.

Really? Under what law or agreement are people that the UK considers “illegals” EU business? There’s none. If the UK has a problem with “illegal immigrants” then that’s the UK’s problem.

They are all the EU's business from the day they land on EU shores. The real problem is that EU countries, particularly France would prefer that all the illegals left of their own accord, in a northerly direction and over the channel. How do so many illegals turn out to have already made false asylum claims in EU countries, then appear on a UK beach?

Despicable really to dump the freeloaders on the UK, but that's the EU for you just moving their imported problems to UK.

Oh, that one's easy. The tories won a landslide victory because our dull-witted electorate proved just how stupid they truly are when they voted against a fairer voting system and chose to stick with a model that clearly works against their interests.

So why did Merkel and May invent their BRINO Withdrawal Agreement? That would have been half in and half stay, and the EU & Remainers liked that one! When we Leave, we have to Leave it fully and properly. That means no EU rules & regulations, no EU law, No EU freedom of movement, No EU control of our government policies, so No Single Market and No Customs Union.
A Free Trade Agreement is what would be necessary after all the above, but if the EU will not make an agreement without trying to revert back to all the above conditions, then we would be back to half leave and half stay. It's obvious that is not what Brexiteers voted for, but what the EU still wants. Sorry - cannot.

Exactly: This pathetic "We won't blink first" is the kind of puff chested, grandiose, conceited, and pretentious, posturing, that you would expect from those with tiny brains who have lost contact with reality. HMG is now reduced to a perfect caricature of an empty vessel.

I agree and that goes for the fishing too. The trouble with the EU, the Scottish mafia on here and the EU sympathisers is that they are a protectionist racquet.

When a country like the UK wants to protect itself like its fishing, like its business then the named lot start stamping and kicking their feet.

<snip>

How many times does it have to be said that England's fishing rights owners have ALREADY sold over 50% of them to various EU companies, before Brexiteers actually take it on board.

The fishing issue is totemic for many, but actually in money terms, in the real world, it is insignificant. If UK leaves on WHO terms then London will be slowly but surely stripped of much of it's financial business, which will go to Frankfurt, Amsterdam, and Paris. Now THAT WILL HURT, massively. But logically, why would the EU countries want to do any of their financial business through London anymore.

But ho, ho, let's carry on cutting of our noses to spite our faces, we have mastered that one thing for sure.

Yours Sincerely,  "The Scottish mafia".  ????????????

They are illegal and the EU's problem from the day they set foot in the EU. None of them manage to get to the UK without EU aid.

How does the EU allow the ones who claim asylum in Spain or Greece to travel all the way to UK? Nice try, but they are very definitely still an EU problem.

Finally the UK has a person in Frost who is putting the UK first. So the Dutch, French and the Irish posters are in arms over the fact that the UK is looking after itself.

Did you ever consider that there are a lot of EU-companies in Britannia?

What will happen, if the EU, too" "is looking after itself" ?.

Do you think all this companies, agencies, banks etc. will not plan to return to their home-countries or others, because they don't want to pay anymore customs or taxes into the Britsh budget?

And don't let me talk about about some parts of the now-GB, i.e. Scotland, N.-Ireland and Wales?

The hairs of BoJo are a mirror of his brain and his reliability :excl: .

Problem is there are no checks and balances here.  With Johnson's majority he can do anything he wants to do.  We have to just suck it up until Johnson is ousted.
