Went to extend my voa at muang thong thani and walked away with an under considerstion stamp until october 7

What the title says. 

 

Went to extend my voa with the unused 30 day extension.

 

I was asked to provide the embasy letter which I was hoping to hold back.

 

Guy took my 2k and I received my passport back with an under consideration stamp for october 7.

 

When I attempted to clarify, I was told that I come back on the 7th for visa stamp good until october 26.

 

No further clarification was given though I did ask again and again for an explanation.

 

Anyone @ubonjoe able to shed any light on this situation?

 

Is this normal?

You will be fine.  It happens to everyone.  Just come back on that date and they'll stamp the rest.  Question: how crowded was it and how did you get there?

You're all set, just come back on that day and you'll get a stamp until Oct 25th.

Took a taxi from lower sukhumvit.

 

Arrived at around 9:45 and was back home in bkk by just before noon.

 

No madness whatsoever. You get to play musical chairs in queue, moving up to the next infected seat every time someone is processed.

 

Not many caucasians/europeans there at all maybe 15 percent.

I said I was asked to present it, yes, so I did. My intention was to hold it back if I could.
