Have never, ever, had a unit with filters as hard to insert as current 9,000 btu inverter model Daikin.  Plastic does not hold shape and always a bear to replace fully into unit.

Read up on whether the extra money you pay for a inverter aircon is worth it, ordinary cheap 9 BTU air-cons are cheap and will cool your room the same if not better if the room you put it in is not insulated properly and has the sun facing at the room all day.

Last few  I bought were Carriers. Great units, better looking, much cheaper and much better warranty
