There have been very few POTUS that history has given them a 'thumbs up'.

 

The Don may not be your cup of tea PatOngo, but he was voted into his position by the US people. For four years the Dems have rejected the results of the 2016 election (while simultaneously and hypocritically aghast that Trump would even ponder it) and have done everything within their power, legally or illegally, to subvert that election result.  Four years on and their entire campaign for the 2020 election is focused on one issue and one issue only . . . to remove President Trump.

 

Anyone actually believing that they would be voting for Biden are deluded.  For it will be President Harris in very short order.  Under no circumstances would I want a Harris presidency.

She had a single high point during her candidacy yet within 5 months of that she was polling in single digits and dropped out.  The Dems rejected her then but will vote for her now.  Why?  Doesn't matter who it as as long as they can remove President Trump.

About on par with previous events. Six or seven officers killed, and a few hundred injured. Not alot. The police in the US have been largely behaving in an abusive fashion for decades now, and it is much worse in the past 20 years, since the massive militarization of the cops. Some pushback had to be expected. Not advocating it. Just observing.

Other than in your imagination, POTUS does not have immunity from criticism or insults. Certainly not the kind of President who dishes these out on a fairly regular basis (notably, no objection to this out of you).

 

Once more, your persistent personal nagging of posters is offensive. People do not have to justify their posts to you, or have you approve their motivations, nationality and so forth. This is an open, public forum.

 

The popular vote may not play a part in the way the USA system functions. However, I notice that on this too, your objections only arise when comments are negative to Trump (as in him not enjoying the popular majority), whereas comments proclaiming the majority supports him are somehow fine. If it wasn't much of an issue, Trump supporters wouldn't go on about it.

There is an obvious effort by yourself to distort facts and reality. The one repeatedly casting doubt on the election is Trump. Be it by announcing them 'rigged', claiming illegals are voting, claiming mail fraud, asking supporters to vote twice, hamstringing the postal service, or now, refusing to commit to accepting results and to the transfer of power.

 

What you claim is not supported by facts, but rather made up or remains to be seen. Trump's words and actions are facts and are happening right now. You could deflect or ignore that, of course.

 

With all of the due respect I do not have for your bold statements - you have no idea, insight or influence as to what Trump will or will not do. For someone that pretends to care about constitutional matters, it would have been expected you'd at least distance yourself from his words. Wouldn't actually expect you to criticize or condemn your idol.

Sky News Australia in the evenings are Fox News wannabe's in my opinion. Not my cup of tea but that's a matter of opinion. I get that, say, ABC News America can seem a bit anti Trump, but it could be that they just literally think his actions are appalling, and should be reported as such, rather than a democrat republican thing.

I don't know how you can sit through the evening Fox News presenters without laughing or turning off. So bizarrely, soul destroyingly, biased. Each to their own. 

Australia is right now getting close to Covid free though where I live in Melbourne we are just finishing a nasty lockdown. The latter was due to a stuff up with hotel quarantine. The rest of Australia is fairly open after a previous lock down. There are about 800 deaths in total and many caused by the hotel issue and some poor controls in a few nursing homes. New Zealand took a similar approach to Australia and has 25 deaths. America cases are on the rise and over 200,000 deaths. 

I get the lockdown issue is not clear cut but it seems to have worked in this part of the world.

Ginsberg had a wonderful sense of humor, and unlike Trump, did not take herself too seriously. So, she would be laughing at his public ridicule, at her funeral, I am sure. People have a right to express themselves, and any talk of decorum here does not apply, when it is pertaining to the man possessing the least amount of decorum, dignity, grace or elegance, to ever to occupy the office.
