Well heeled "Elite card" holders to "fly in on private jets from UK and Germany"

Don't worry about those high rollers in their private jets. its only

the Red Bull guy, and Taksin and sister, and other lonely Thais

doing a quick trip back to get some eats at their favourite restaurant.

Maybe another bad guy from some other country. No one, most of us

know anyway.

Geezer

Yeah Thais get it free as far as I am aware . Anyone else pays and has to take out the Covid insurance, tests , COE paper , have correct visa , have good reason , pay flight at higher rate . Bargain ????

Thais coming back to their own country should get it for free.

Don't see the problem in making non-tax paying foreign temporary visitors pay for the service.

Just saw on Facebook that Hooters at Nana offer 50% discount on all food. Time to start up the private jet and fly my friends over...

Hope it closes. Much preferred Golden Bar or whatever it was before.

If you want a decent American style bar go to Buddies.

With the choppy seas in the English Chanel, my Turkish Mafia friend is directing asylum seekers to paddle over from France to Thailand, hey, they all wear designer gear and have the latest iPhones so will be welcomed as well healed.

And what about all those foreigners that own businesses, property in Thailand that pay tax  ?

Many would fly in on their own private jets though others are on chartered and commercial airlines.

As reported by Daily News, Somchai called on the Thai foreign ministry to speed up the issuing of Certificates of Entry to the Elite card holders.

Thaivisa contacts in England have been told by the TAT there to essentially forget coming to Thailand as the infection rates are too high in the UK.

Somchai said that the 500 are loaded with money and willing to spend 80,000 to 100,000 baht on the 14 day state quarantine.

Loaded with money....Go Somchai

How is being compelled to stay in a quarantine being “held at ransom” when whole counties are shut down?

Are not Thais compelled to stay in quarantine when they return?

AFAIK unless they are tested positive and end up in a ASQ at the governments expense, then, no they are fre to go home or anywhere else.
