Popular Post snoop1130
Public Health Minister confirms effectiveness of anti-COVID-19 measures on Samui BANGKOK (NNT) - After a foreign tourist tested positive for COVID-19 on Samui Island, Surat Thani province, the Deputy Prime Minister and Public Health Minister, Anutin Charnvirakul, has assured the public that the government’s public health measures are effective and people can visit the island as usual. Mr. Anutin urged people to have confidence in the public health measures, and that Samui is still a safe destination for tourists. However, the Public Health Minister expressed concern about the ongoing political rallies, as they might pose a risk of COVID-19 transmission. Social distancing has not been strictly implemented. Demonstrators are advised to wear protective masks. He instructed the Department of Medical Services to provide face masks, alcohol-based sanitizers and to set up medical tents at protest sites. -- © Copyright NNT 2020-10-26 - Whatever you're going through, the Samaritans are here for you - Follow Thaivisa on LINE for breaking COVID-19 updates 1

Popular Post Dialemco
Believe students demonstrating as many of them fear they will not have suitable job opportunities after they graduate which is not being helped owing economic recession owing covid. Thailand's economy was already declining before Covid both in respect of exports and tourism as they now have competing bordering counties so must change to make Thailand much more attractive to foreign investors and tourists including economic incentives 6

Srikcir
From the perspective of English, only a vaccine is an anti-covid measure, ie., stop infection. What the Minister is confirming is the effectiveness of covid-19 "counter measures", ie., avoid infection. Thailand does not yet have a vaccine. Popular Post khunkarl
I'm astonished that they insist to call this woman a French tourist. She is a Thai/French citizen with dual citizenship. Are they deliberately trying to ruin their own tourism by insisting to report this as a French tourist when it's in reality a returning Thai with her family? https://thethaiger.com/coronavirus/100-test-negative-after-koh-samui-covid-19-case 2

Popular Post Sean60
I as business owner can assure that the covid-19 measures in Koh samui are working. The island is dead. for the past 8 months and we are entering the 9th. This government has done nothing for us. No relief package, no help what so ever. Come and invest in Thailand and the government will not help or support you. They have succeeded in scaring the local people of Covid-19. A bunch of idiots sitting at high positions. total incompetent.!!
