Would disagree, I had blackouts when I drank Chang, nothing like that before or after.

It's had to understand how someone likes Chang.

   It' tastes like baby pee.

20 year old male here

Tell your mama to stop giving you money and the problem is solved.

Honestly, a 20 year old guy in LOS? Where do you get your money for alcohol from?

Have you eve had sex before? Reading your post, I doubt it.

Perhaps time to sober up and get a girlfriend?

A LB that looked like a man? Most of them are men.

Sad to say you are an alcoholic. You need to stop drinking. I know this is hard for an alcoholic because it is an addiction. Use Disulfiram tablets, I know of at least two people who have used these tablets and after a month they are completely cured of their addiction.

After you take the tablets, if you even have one drink it will make you sick. Aversion therapy.

Did you stop drinking Chang? Then your blackout problem solved!

But, the OP doesn't sound like there is any particular brand associated with his symptoms.

Just to let you know. Only drinking a little bit would be the same as a little bit pregnant. It's not working. Believe me. I did try too many times....

20 year old male here. Every time I go out for a drink, my nights usually start out pretty good, with me being in a good mood, and with a lot of confidence. But as the night passes on, 3 things happens. I get really tired, sad and depressed sitting in the corner not saying a thing, and so drunk that I throw up everywhere and can't remember a thing next day. I know I could just ''drink less'', but I somehow can't make myself do that, when I have had a couple of drinks. Has any of you dealt with the same situation?  omegle  xender

issue got solved

Why are you sitting in a corner on your own?

Might as well drink at home alone, it won't stop you throwing up, but at least you'll only be spending half as much.

And cleaning up your own vomit might help put you off drinking - on alternate days, at least.

Not to mention waking up to the bits you missed the night before...

Seems you have a great future, here in Thailand. But if you are determined to squander this potential, I could suggest you develop your interest in wine.  Nothing beats sharing a nice bottle, over a juicy Tenderloin with a Thai lady.

Thai men are too for that "keeneeow" and seem to believe wine isn't masculine enough.

Just get her a bowl of noodles n a Chang, you'll still get the juicy tenderloin

Alcohol is a depressant. You're likely already depressed and expect the alcohol to mitigate your depression. It's not. Instead it's making it worse and bringing your depression to the surface.

Nah, I am having great fun while drinking.

So perhaps drinking is not the problem because if drinking was the problem once you stopped all of your problems would go away. Perhaps being sober is the problem? To take it a bit further perhaps you don't like being with yourself. So it seems you are doing to have to drink all the time or find out why you think there is something wrong with you. Tough choice!

Or an airman.

When I was a young airman in the early 1960s, most Friday or Saturday nights was a pint in each pub in the local village, all 13 of them, a visit to the chippy and catch the last bus back to base. The next 30 or 40 years were the same.

Working as a civilian in Thailand during the mid 1990s when my bar bills at the weekend were 3 to 4,000 baht a night was OK,  because I was on the road Monday to Friday which gave my body a chance to recover.

I was 76 in May last year and after my birthday I took stock of my drinking and realised I was drinking 2 or 3 bottles of Hong Thong every week, so on 1st June last year I simply stopped drinking alcohol and now I only drink soda.

After 60 years of drinking I realised just how much I was pi55ing away over the years.

I don't think that I was ever an alcoholic but a serious drinker.

Having said that I went to a mates place on Christmas day which was OK but I nearly started drinking again when they turned on the karaoke. Then I realised I must have sounded like that over the years, so I stayed on soda with ice.

Good luck with staying on the wagon!

60 years is a ling time; I drank for only 20 years, however for the last 2/3 years, drank 2 large bottles of whisky and a few Chang per day.

At this point I am still on course and I haven't had a drink of alcohol since 1st June last year but my consumption of soda has doubled.

I have plenty of wine and spirits in the house but I am still not tempted.

Drinking too much is just a habit. Like eating too much, watching to much porn, too much mobile phone. Just a habit. Old thoughts were it was a disease, but contemporary thoughts are it is a habit. (Simplified version).

After 10 to 15 years you will probably stop. Heroine addicts seem to stop after about 13 years. (Generalizing here).

A few things you can try:

1. You can try mindfulness. There is a great app. called Headspace and an animated Headspace series on Netflicks. I haven't seen it but heard it is great.

2.Surfing the Urge is another thing you can try. Google Surfing the Urge.

3. There's a free Zoom online mob from Australia called SMART Recovery. Got lots of daily online chat groups run by a moderator. You just join what days and time you want. Brilliant.

The good news is, most (not all) heavy drinkers don't end up with live disease. ( probably be howled down about this).

Can also try some Silamari tablets to help the poor liver. Research is not conclusive on if they help or not, but from personal experience when a couple of my liver function tests went out of tolerance, 2 months of Silamari tabs. fixed that.

So the good news is that after many years you will probably stop anyway. ????

It's nothing like a habit in my case. It is most certainly some kind of mental illness.

I think for most it is simply a habit. Some are more predisposed in the lacking of self control than others. Some may self medicate with alcohol and mentally lock on to maintaining that intake of substance to "cope" - that's a tricky situation but it's also just a habit for the most part and a mindset that can be changed if the individual is taught to cope without the alcohol and regular drinking should be able to resume after a decent period of abstinence.

There are of course people who abuse it to the point of complete physical dependency who are, in my view, alcoholics. You know a proper alcoholic when you see one.

There are also lots of pussies who simply can't handle their drink or a hangover and like to cry the blues of their plight to anyone who will listen because they take some strange comfort in it. Best avoided those types.

Are you seriously saying that alcoholics are lacking self-control?
