Popular Post Nicknoodle
Thailand won’t be seeing any tourists! The latest requirements are obviously a very clear sign that thailand doesn’t want tourists as we have long believed. This has nothing at all to do with Covid-19. The Thai government mentality is to utterly screw their own people! But of course the tourist numbers will continue to rise above expectations according to the government. 555

Popular Post KKr
If tourists need to demonstrate minimum 16.000 USD or so frozen in the Bank, I think the Powers That Be have no clue of the living circumstances and costs in developed countries, and, if there is cash, it is usually moved to investments or back and forward between savings, trading and current accounts. In February we decided to shelf plans organising tours to the Qatar Football World Cup and to focus on Thailand as that promised more continuous business and tourism flows from China and India as-if-and-when borders open.. This great knee jerk policy decision makes us look for the Thinking Caps again.

Ketyo
How are the African drug dealers going to get in? The ones who stand on the corner of Suk soi 13 and inquire about how business is when you walk past. I don't think many of them will maintain a bank balance of 500k for 6 months.
Popular Post Greenside
If as reported, a totally insane waste of time. Thailand is not that wonderful that the average tourist is going to bother trying to meet those requirements. Not only that, the negative impact made by this will linger on for some considerable time after they are relaxed or withdrawn. "Thailand? Nah, I heard you need to show them bank statements and stuff just to be allowed in for a fortnight's holiday. Let's do Bali or Vietnam..."
