That's right!! When one of the key battleground states the media has declared for Biden are found by a judge (very soone) to have handled their election process incorrectly, Trump will win that state. This will likely cause a domino effect on other similar state "vote irregularities".

And the earth is flat, right? Good grief!

I hope he doesn't walk out. I hope he will be dragged out of the White House. Maybe put it live on TV and let someone tell him: You're fired!

  • Start packing. You could have done this graciously and with dignity but you are Trump so you mess it up. One thing is sure you will go down in history as the most divisive, incompetent president ever,

  • So if it goes to the House of Representatives he is not leaving, which we already knew.

This will bring down the necessarily needed 270 votes to below 270 and we will likely see a Constitutional requirement to move the vote to the House of Representatives... where Republicans will hold the majority vote.

If you're referring to Pennsylvania, the State Supreme Court just dismissed that case with prejudice. The judicial system frowns on plaintiffs who play gotcha.

Are you referring to the recount ordered by Trump where Biden is actually picking up votes? Too funny.

Where do you get your news from? I'd love to know.

Yes.. Pennsylvania is one of the contested states... yes, I saw that Supreme Court ruling... there is 2 weeks to go before the electoral college convenes on December 14th.

Er - Democrats hold the majority in Congress, Republicans hold the majority in the Senate.

And they have to pay $3 million for their ineptitude.

The US Supreme Court has also ruled that it doesn't like cases where such gotcha games are played. But it gets even worse for you. The right wingers are pushing a new doctrine that says tjat state legilatures are solely responsible for rules governing voting. So even if that law was ruled to violate the state constitution, that would be irrelevant.

The Constitution gives 1 vote to each state not to each legislator.

If the vote went to congress it's not on a party majority vote. It's on a state vote, each state having ONE vote. I believe that enough states would vote for Trump for him to win.

You may be right, assuming it ever got that far. Just another confirmation of how f###ed up the US electoral system is.

The US must be an awesome country since everybody like to take a jab at it.

It is an awesome country, I've visited many places there. Yosemite, Chicago, New Orleans, bayou country to name a few. The problem is it has too many ratbags in it.

Would you say that if Biden won that way?

One delegate from each state legislature gets a vote in the house of representatives. Currently there are 31 republican and 19 democrat legislatures... so if litigation is successful in litigating enough of the swing states to bring down below 270 electoral college votes, then the vote will likely proceed along party lines in the House of Representatives giving Trump the win.

The scumbags strategy becomes obvious. I will now turn away from this disgusting scenario. It is not my country and I wont be missed by anyone taking interest in their matters. Good luck.

Don't get too disgusted just yet. Litigation isn't going so well thus far and Guliani and team only have two weeks... it's now a race against the clock. It will certainly be interesting to see what evidence is ultimately put forward and if it is compelling enough. I seriously want to see all the so called evidence being touted. But... let us not forget there has been the discussion of ultimately arguing something before the supreme court... I suspect it will be the federal crime of not allowing the ballot observers have access... we shall see as they say.

One cannot introduce “new” evidence into SCOTUS, it tests for pints of law and wrongful judgements from lower courts.  The allegations of not allowing observers “access” has been tested in one courtroom and dismissed as incorrect with a somewhat scathing rebuke from the bench,

OK,  I'm going to resist all temptation to make fun of your post and let you in on a little secret. This election is over. Biden won and there are no more straws to grasp for, no hail Mary last ditch efforts , no answered prayers for a different outcome   and no surprise Perry Mason style turn of events or revelations that are going to occur between now and Jan 20th 2021 when Biden will be sworn in as the next president of the United States Of America .

There was a poster on another thread who said that he was willing to bet his life that Trump would be serving another 4 year term of office... I will solemnly send his family my deepest condolences for their loss on that day......

Ha ha!! ok. Here's another little not secret... there is one key date before President Elect (by the media) is confirmed... December 14th. And unless you have access to the evidence, or lack there of, being brought before the courts before that time, you cannot definitively say the election is over (case in point Bush v. Gore December 2000). And last but not least, until Biden is sworn in on January 20th, he ain't president yet. So... as I have said, we shall see.

Ah.. But Biden didn't win that way.

He won the old-fashioned way. More votes.

Which is why the system is so weird to non-Americans, sensible nations do it that way.

I'm glad this is news.  The article should lay to rest people's fears of a military takeover or something else by Trump should he lose in the EC.

IMO Trump will not leave.

If we were to elect the president with popular votes the large populated areas would run the country. Perhaps non Americans don't understand the diverse landscape of the USA with lightly populated states. The electoral vote is the most fair.

It's an archaic system that's due an overhaul in at least 48 states IMO. I can understand the point of it but don't understand why it's winner takes all in 48 states instead of a proportional allocation.

Developed nations like France, Spain and Finland have moved away from electoral college.because it is unfair to the people. How it is fair when the majority rights have been silence by the minority. Can we not claimed that US is not a democratic nation.

Luckily, it won't go to congress. Game over. Trump’s the loser. Again.

The EC is fair if you are a republican and like gerrymandering. It was created over 200 years ago. Time for a change. The president should be elected by popular votes.

So folks who live in the most rural states don't get a say unless they are liberals. USA is 18 times larger than France so not the same. There's a legitimate reason for the electoral syatem in the USA regardless of what others think.
