SpaceKadet
It is good to have great aspirations, but seriously, what are we talking about here? These are people that can't even follow the color coding for the domestic power installations, and insist to having all the wires nailed to the walls. So what would the Thai space capsule look like? Multicolored power cables, hanging free from the walls, without any regard to standards, and blue PVC piping for all the plumbing? Another case of contribution to global warming by BS talking by the ignorant government officials.

hotchilli
While I agree with most posters that this is "out there a tad" I do believe in allowing people/nations/governments to have a dream and not mock them on having ambition. 6 years ago Prayut had a dream that he was going to eradicate corruption, in reality that failed, maybe they believe shooting for the moon is more achievable?

But, yes, potentially spending billions on an already-done nothing for a place with many poor people (yes, the US has them too - that is the monetary system) smacks of authoritarianism. Like to say don't blame em for trying (and not to demean Thais since they are a resourceful and switched on folk) but this is all small-penile, little brain, military-based twaddle.
