Immigration set up emergency task force for Samut Sakhon outbreak - call 1178 to report illegal entry

Naew Na reported that immigration chief Lt-Gen Sompong Chingduang had ordered the establishment of a special fast response task force to liaise with other authorities in the province of Samut Sakhon where there has been a Covid-19 outbreak. 

 

Both the chief and spokesman deputy commander Maj-Gen Achayon Kraithong were pictured in full regalia as fears of the spread of the virus heightened.

 

Achayon said that the IB chief also ordered checks on Thailand's porous natural borders to be ramped up. 

 

Naew Na urged people to call 1178 to report Thais or foreign migrants illegally crossing into Thailand.
