Cabinet approves 11 billion baht to fight COVID-19 as Bang Lamung locked down

The Thai cabinet has approved an 11 billion baht budget to fund the procurement of medical equipment, vaccines and medicines to fight the COVID-19 pandemic and to compensate about one million public health volunteers for three months, from January to March next year.

A sightseeing boat reportedly carrying 12 passengers, including two children, capsized in the Khlong Siyad Reservoir, a tourist attraction in Chachoengsao’s Thatakiab district, at 3.30pm on Wednesday, resulting in two deaths. One person is still missing.
