New cases of Covid-19 have been reported in Bang Lamung and Sattahip in the Pattaya area.

The timeline of her movements has been reported by the Thai press.

On Tuesday Phakarathorn Thienchai, the governor of Chonburi, and health officials said that there were 12 new cases in the province bringing the total to 36 in the latest outbreak.

Six are men in Muang district, in Bang Lamung there are three men and one woman, and in Sattahip one woman and one male.

The Sattahip case is a mother and her child.

Here is the timeline of where she went - people have been told to mask-up and go and see a doctor if they experience symptoms after being to any of the following:

1. Krung Thai bank in Sattahip on 9th December from 10-10.30 am.

2. Sahachai market on 11th December from 5-6.30pm.

3. Sattahip Community Health Center on 22nd from 7 to 10am.

5. Another blue/orange van back from Rayong to Sattahip on the 14th from 8-9am.

6. Chao Naja shrine in Ang Sila, Muang Chonburi on 26th.

7. MK restaurant in Central Plaza Chonburi on 26th from 3 to 6pm.

Sanook reported that Sattahip mayor Narong Bunbanjertsri ordered the spraying by men with chemical backpacks of the bank, the market and the health center where the woman visited.

It's spreading like the smog.... invisible until you can't breathe.

Chonburi, Pattaya and Rayong will join up geographically and close down south east Thailand.

A friend says someone got it who frequents a bar in Jomtien, so wait for that to hit the track and trace news.

The problem is foreigners won't go and get tested or go to hospital unless really sick as they will be stung with a big bill even if asymptomatic

The problem also lays with stubborn Thais.

And foreigners coming to Thailand need to do 15 nights ASQ even without symptoms and/or negative test... Thais only self-solation (alone? control) and only when symptoms...

You mean Thai-Chana Track & Trace doesn't work, or people haven't been using it correctly (surprise, surprise), I've not seen one in a bank for instance, even through it was created by KrungThai Bank IT.

Wrong returning Thais are taken to state quarantine facilities for 14 days, unless they com in illegally.

It was for Thai's who have visited "locations" where someone with covid has been, not returning from overseas.

If you look at the posters entry you will see he has linked the Thai self-isolation to foreigners entering the country and going into ASQ. That is why I responded.

no-one scans the QR code any longer and very few sign in ....that is if there's even a sign in paper to use.

Some of the signers only give a name, and some  give "funny" phone numbers like 12345678, what FN good is that to anybody, except that they are seen to be writing something.

WOW!!!!!!    Thailand is getting into trouble BIG TIME.

For a bit of perspective the UK, France, Spain, Turkey and Italy which have similar populations to Thailand ALL had more infections and more deaths just yesterday and everyday single day for the last month,  than Thailand has had total ALL year.

Now is when we will finally know whether we got rid of the virus last time through good management or good luck.

Or just lack of testing...   Also referred to as the ostrich method of pandemic control.

What you don't know can't hurt you, after all.

I don't need perspective. I know. I have spend lockdown in Thailand early this year. And quarantine in Bangkok in November. But the infection numbers rise and they don't have it under control, yet. They let people travel for New Year. Different than last time. Let's hope for the best.

And all of them have much better medical facilities.  Can't imagine what it'd be like here with that many trying to get medical care, which is tenuous at best.
