Popular Post Kadilo
2 hours ago, Dart12 said: The lockdown was initially sold across the world as the only way to avert calamity. The cost of the closures (in terms of lost liberty, lost livelihoods, and, indeed, lost lives through non-coronavirus health conditions) was so vast that there was no other way to justify it. Lockdown proponents didn’t say, “This might slightly reduce the mortality rate.” They said, “Do it or our hospitals will be overwhelmed!” Which was, to be fair, what they initially expected to happen in Sweden. “Heading for disaster” was the headline in Britain’s right-wing Sun. “They are leading us to catastrophe,” agreed the left-wing Guardian. Time magazine reported that “Sweden’s relaxed approach to the coronavirus could already be backfiring” and quoted a doctor saying that it would “probably end in a historical massacre.” “We fear that Sweden has picked the worst possible time to experiment with national chauvinism,” chided the Washington Post. President Trump, justifying his own crackdown, bizarrely claimed that Sweden “gave it a shot, and they saw things that were really frightening, and they went immediately to shutting down the country.” Not one commentator in March or April argued that Sweden might be less at risk than other places. Lockdown enthusiasts have switched very suddenly from “Sweden is heading for a genocide” to “well, we couldn’t do that here because we’re nothing like Sweden.” What we are seeing is a version of the sunk cost fallacy — a determination to justify the huge losses imposed by the lockdown. It is beyond depressing to see scientists give in to these basic cognitive biases. Excellent post.

But I do not understand the rest of your post??? One of the reasons with the many deaths in the care homes in Sweden was because there were many infected immigrants working there, lots of them part timers and they were not informed about how this virus transmits during the first wave this spring. The other Scandinavian countries did not have this problem.

I now refuse all treatment, beyond simple, basic care/medication (2x already and for some reason I didn't die either time), i have no wish to extend my life, I am completely satisfied by the time I've already had. If anything, I'd like to accelerate that little bit at the end where it really hurts, if possible. There's little expense in dying, if you don't try to avoid it. I agree with you on medication and trying to hang on a few more lying in a bed tubed and wired etc. The wudhuflu I see as being a bit different. We have friends who still now are always looking for places to go in the evening to meet friends etc so we don't go see them or ask them to visit us. Why risk what time is left. Popular Post Nowisee
Over 1 million people attended Woodstock in the summer of 1969 while a pandemic swept the world. Worldwide 1 million died and about 100,000 in the United States. Most excess deaths were in people 65 years and older. The H3N2 virus continues to circulate worldwide as a seasonal influenza A virus. This type of virus has happened many times in the past 100 years, the world did not react like it is reacting this past year and yet we managed it. The disaster that has happened this past year is not from the pandemic, it's from the pandemic response. A full year of panic porn from the media. Especially unclear whether people are allowed to travel out of the worst affected provinces. The number of migrant workers who've tested positive is still being counted separately. Does that mean that all those migrant workers are in quarantine or isolated in some other way from the general population? So many question marks it's impossible to tell what's going on. You would thing that the unelected "PM" and his generals would have been taught about organisation when they were getting educated at their Military Academies. 1

You may want to check agin this is from another thread posted 3 hours ago. The Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) has also said that people travelling from high-risk areas, especially “red” zones, must isolate themselves for 14 days. Meanwhile, all high-risk areas in controlled “red” provinces must be closed, CCSA spokesman Dr Taweesin Visanuyothin said on Tuesday, adding that dining in at restaurants will be prohibited from 9pm to 6am, all stores are required to set up checkpoints to screen people entering the area and ensure visitors check-in via the MorChana application. Also, inter-provincial travel is banned unless absolutely necessary or involving the transport of goods, while field hospitals will be set up if needed.
