  • I vote for Prayut as first Lunar President!!!   He should fly ASAP to ensure the Americans/Russians/Chinese/Indians don't get there first.

  • They would have to land at night time of course!

  • A focus on supporting their citizens who have lost their jobs during a pandemic might be a better choice of priorities. And the bemedalled buffoons wonder why young educated Thais are protesting.

I'll give a month. They'll soon lose interest when they realise it's made of cheese.

I think the realization that there's unlimited food there would have the opposite effect.

So in just 6 days? or did they mess up and forget to put the year of 2028 after the January 13th.  Whatever, it is pure lunacy when the country has been progressing backwards and the people are suffering more and more everyday.  Of course that is just my view.  I am sure someone will be along shortly to correct me and tell me I am once again bashing the Thai's.  Just speaking truthfully.  Take care of the country first then move forward Forget the Submarines, the space shuttle and definitely forget about resurrecting tourism for the next year or two.

I think you are confused. They are not planning to launch the rocket in 6 days.

Spending billions on space travel, submarines etc. Well at least they have almost free health care for their citizens

Unlike the country that spends the most on military and space exploration and has thousands of war veterans living on the street in poverty often with mental and physical injuries from serving.

Issan has had its own NASA for decades now.

Come on it's got nothing to do with the moon. The project will fund 100 new Mercs for the hi-sos.

I think the Thai moon program is more advanced than many realize. This is a recent picture of the nearly completed spaceship.

But you missed out the two tier pricing!

Well, I'll tell you. When you start a project as big as this, the cost is astronomical. When you have astronomical costs, you also have astronomical kickbacks. A few Thais will benefit greatly.

Oh wow, they found a use for all those upcoming abandoned condo tower projects - rocket launch towers.

I think that you spelled "Looney" wrong ????

"Lo0nY"

Wait a mo...it wasn't so long ago the the PM said that Thailand should concentrate LESS on academia. Apart from all the domestic issues and arguments thereof where are the Thai intelligentsia going to come in just 7 years...loaned from China maybe?

Thailand is now superior in space and in the waters with the new subs. Come back in 5 years to find both lunar shuttle and subs rusting away

I’m sure Prayut and his cohorts are suitably qualified for such a mass debate!

Lunacy - mid 16th century (originally referring to insanity of an intermittent kind attributed to changes of the moon): from lunatic.

Thais 20 baht

Foreigners 400 baht

That's right. If you read the Thai script it says Thai's 20 baht, Thai "dek" 10 baht. But they write it in Thai so the Farangs are unaware that they are being gouged.

No I didn't - read the Thai. 20 baht for adults and 10 baht for kids ????

obviously a deep(space)-faked photo!

where's the dual-pricing for aliens?

Imagine the amulet market going absolutely over the moon (no pun intended)  ...... once the first moon stones and rockets are being brought back by Somchai the Astronaut!
