Motorcycle taxi lady Kanya Suphaphon felt uneasy when she found a wallet by the road. It contained no money, just a driving licence and a few documents.

But thanks to online posts on Pattaya Talk she was soon on her way to a seafood restaurant to meet the foreigner who had dropped it.

She took along her sister, also a taxi rider, to help with English.

Kanya, 43, told Pattaya Update News that she works at the rank by McDonald's on Sai 2 road.

The foreigner who was not identified gave her 1,000 baht reward for the return of his property.

Kanya said that "wins" (motorcycle taxi riders) who find people's possessions should always hand them in to the police or post in online forums.

Many people commented favorably on Pattaya talk.

Yes, and you just had to say something negative about something good. Do a keyword search on that.

I know....something doesn't sound right. Not knocking the WIN lady, she did right. But who carries a wallet with zero money in it?

I do.

I keep my money in my left pocket, wallet in another place.

And, he probably would not have given her a reward if he felt ripped  off.

Or he simply recognized she simply found the wallet and returned it.

I don't have enough pockets for all that faffing about.

This specific foreigner. Sound stupid, I know, but that´s the only conclusion that can be drawn.

Well its a change from the usual taxi driver story

Good for her and receiving a reward as well

Well not really... taxi driver returning wallet or bag containing passport reports are quite a regular appearance. Or they were when tourists were coming. Usually mixed in with the odd story of guys crawling around in the luggage spaces of moving coaches pilfering from suitcases.
