Thailand's immigration chief Lt-Gen Sompong Chingduang announced yesterday that a 44 year old Israeli man had been arrested in the Sathorn - Taksin area of Bangkok with child pornography videos in his possession.

The illicit material was on the hard drive of a computer owner by Mr TZVI.

Earlier the Thais had been informed by a foreign NGO of illegal activity and a search warrant had been obtained from the Thonburi court for a condominium that the suspect was renting.

He is now in the custody of the Samray police facing a charge of possession of child pornography.
