From memory might be a tad more than Baht 1,500 though.

We are using the Supreme Hotel in Singapore. But we prefer to stay in Johor Bahru just over the bridge in Malaysia.

Much cheaper and nicer there, and only some minutes away from Singapore.

We use there the Tropical Inn Hotel, a fairly big hotel in the town center of Johor Bahru (never seen a homepage of this hotel however)

Or if you are stuck on Singapore you can always settle down in Geylang where any of the HOTEL 81 would go for 50 Sing dollars a night.

Not bad the rooms. Only drawback is that Geylang is the redlight district of Singapore. Right smack in the middle of food country though, and close to both the airport as well as the bus depot.
