Condo unit owner and Testament

Featured Replies

Hello.

My boyfriend and I (both french nationals) are owner of a condo unit in Bangkok. Our two names appear in the Title Deed.

What happen if one of us pass away ? Should I write a testament ?

What is the Thai law about this ?

Thailand doesnt recognise common law relationships, so inheritance would not be automatic as next of kin etc. You would both need a will/testament to inherit each others assets.

Its pretty straight forward and done at the local ampher
