Samut Sakhon’s Central Shrimp Market was hosed down with disinfectant in a bid to contain the spread of Covid-19 on Monday.

Firefighters used two fire trucks to spray roads with a chlorine mixture, while government officials and workers washed down the market and residential areas.

This big clean is in line with the province’s plan to reopen the market by the end of this month.

So what! It is people who carry & transmit the virus & the daily figures from this city are still out of control. I for one will not buy any produce from this market or patronise any shop that trades in produce from Samut Sakhon.

Exactly, but it looks good, as though they're doing something, despite the fact it's been shut long enough for any trace of virus in any quantity to infect, will be long gone.
