Bangkok's Sathorn district seeks probe into DJ's birthday party

Sathorn district in Bangkok filed a complaint with Thungmahamek police on Friday, demanding that officers find out the truth about DJ Mattoom’s birthday party.

 

 

On January 9, celebrity DJ Techin Ploypetch – or Matoom – held his birthday celebration at Banyan Tree Hotel on Sathorn Road.

 

He later announced that he, as well as others who had attended his party, had contracted Covid-19.

 

Sathorn director Pansak Charoensuk wanted the police to check if it was illegal to hold the party amid the virus crisis.

That's a given seeing as it was a party and many people attended and spreading the virus .

I don't think you need bother with an investigation as all the evidence is out there for everyone to see and has been reported on for some time now but if you want to make yourselves feel important just go ahead anyway .

Keith, you are far too straight forward. Everyone knows it was wrong, the purpose of the investigation is to actually to find no wrong doing so everyone keeps their jobs.

So a superspreader party in the covid dark red zone has no legal consequences? Boy are they lucky its not Koh Pangan. Surely the reason for this isn't the fact they are hiso Thai and not loso Farang. 

Ive been seeking a probe on loy kroh from the isaan grannies for years...guess they are playing hard to get!   ????

I am surprised that the Banyan Tree allowed this event to happen.

Start with a little chat to them. More 'fine' material.

The Hotel is very remiss for even allowing this to happen so they should be prosecuted as well

We all know a few wai's and catorts and nothing will come of this as Thai and hi-so's.

The Banyan Tree for all intensive purposes has had the look that is has been pretty much closed up.  You have been able to order food through their Line App, and have it delivered if you like.  Their have been security at the building, and the only cars I have observed over the last few months going in and out, infrequently have been Hi-So Mercedes, Lambos, Porsches, and Salon cars.  However, looking at the website they are open for booking rooms and such.  Must only be the Hi-So crowd staying there and partying. Was able to make a reservation for Dinner at Vertigo for Valentines day.  Lets see what response I get.....
