By contrast I brought two copies of everything.  Never asked for a second copy.  He did however ask for my Thai girlfriends ID and house book.  Maybe I am wrong but I never saw those as required documentation for a Non-0 Visa extension.  

I think they just give them free rein to make things up as they go along.
