  • What a sad and miserable person you come across with such a nasty and false comment. Because of bigots, she must have had to prove herself ten times over to be appointed to this post.

  • im sure she got the post on merit alone...

She seems more than qualified for the job.

more than qualified to run one more useless International  quango.  I have no remit about the lady, she seems a good candidate,  but the WHO is dysfunctional, ineffective and useless.  Good luck to her.

It is not WHO it is WTO.

Not in ‘American English’, no.

She’s been appointed to head an international organization, she doesn’t need the email addresses of insignificant nobodies.

Did any of those African nations put up a candidate as qualified as she is? If they did I would be surprised, and if they didn't, then start training less qualified people to replace her when she retires.

So now you need to explain how your negative comments towards the WHO are applicable to the WTO ( a few of examples would help illustrate the point).

Back at you!

So she doesn't care about us ordinary folks....meh.

The poster to whom I responded is insinuating that the appointed head of the WTO (a Nigerian) would want his email address for the purposes of email scamming, on the basis that she’s a Nigerian and Nigerian scam emails are a thing.

Holding your views on s range of subjects in respect, as I do, I’m surprised you didn’t grasp that.

The poster you were just responding to (that's me) wasn't making a serious comment. I'm surprised you didn't grasp that. The previous but--can-she-cook comment should have been clue enough.

Didn’t really surprise you on here, did it? Africans and Muslims are really not popular on this forum, judging by the predominantly negative comments articles on them receive! Sad really!

It’s not part of her job description to care about you!

Until Jan 20, your comment would have had some applicability to the US govt as well.

Anyway some nigerian scammers are ok. I had lots of nice chats with one. She stopped chatting after I said I was a poor man though????

Please do some research next time before making racist asinine comments like this.

She is a magna cum laude graduate of Harvard University with a degree in economics and has a PhD from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

I hope she did . But you can’t blame people for questioning it . Identity politics has caused things like this to be considered . And the now throw away word ‘racist’ has lost alot of its clout because of this divisive political thinking.

Stop throwing it around , there are real racists out there you know!

Yes she is and it’s a shame I and others have to question her appointment based on her ethnicity and sex.  But hey that’s what they want isn’t it. The boxes have to be ticked.

I sure don't care about her gender or skin color, I'd just like to know if she has an ideological bias in favor of China.

She take US citizenship in 2019 and the international comments are that China will object to a US national.

Do not assume because she is  African she is supporter of China.

And some people do not like to eat brocoli.

I think more Africans will be  happy, proud and supportive. She is former Finance Minister of Nigeria, and a managing director of World Bank. Here credentials are impeccable. And for Africans who value family quality her family is as good as it can get; a daughter of brilliant accomplished parents, with her father  Royalty as he was a king, married to a respected physician, mother of 4 accomplished successful professional children and described as cultured.  She has superior social status and will intimidate many world bosses.

Until Jan20 USA was against her appointment, the only country voting against her appointment.  You are correct
