Pattaya: Follow Phuket's lead and buy vaccine for people in tourist industry, says sector leader

The former leader of the Pattaya Tourism Business Association Sinchai Wattanasatsathon in his capacity as representing the Flipper hotel group has given his ideas for inspiring confidence in the tourism sector for foreign tourists. 

 

Sinchai said that it is all very well that there had been no new cases of Covid  and the situation in Pattaya was under control.

 

But in an interview with Sophon Cable TV he said that the situation among businesses in Pattaya was still dire.

He favored an idea mooted by the private sector in Phuket, where the problems are similar, to buy vaccine from hospitals to vaccinate workers in the tourism sector first.

 

This will inspire confidence among tourists, he said, saying that waiting for the rollout by the government would be too slow and could only see 60-70% of people vaccinated by the year end at best.

Tourist industry will have to wait its turn.

That was all talk I think, I live in Phuket I didnt hear any more about it

I am all for it if the Thai Tourist Bosses  wants to pay for all the vaccines for there people working in the Thai Tourist industry 

Means more money available to vaccinate the rest of the Thai population 

Maybe including the Foreigners as well
