Video: Netizens irate at driver performing totally unnecessary tyre burnout at traffic lights

A post on the popular Facebook site of "Hear Khap Rot" showed a pick-up in a cloud of smoke. 

 

Netizens were shocked and irate in equal measure after the incident that happened Saturday on the Yala to Naratiwas Road in the far south of Thailand. 

 

Soon came a post from the owner of the vehicle who said it wasn't him but a "really bad friend". 

 

Others noted that the pick-up lacked a wing mirror and had other scrapes and appeared to be having an altercation with the car next to them at the lights. 

 

The incident was reminiscent of something out of  “Smokey and the Bandit" the classic 1977 movie about road race antics starring Burt Reynolds.
