The Ranger actually has the worst turning radius !!

Ranger - 12.4m

Dmax - 12.2m

Triton - 11.8m

Revo - 11.8m

Navara - 11.8m

According to the MG website, the MG Extender has a turning radius of 6.3m

The raptor has specialised struts and will be very expensive to replace with genuine items. And like other shocks they will wear out.

I don't think I've had to replace a set of shocks since the '70s and I've never had to replace a strut...

The Fox shocks aint cheap, to put a set on a non Raptor Ranger will see one handing over 100k.

Ford sell them as an upgrade.

0.6 M - hardly a game changer. That is 1.2 M diameter

ford are showing the turning circle as 12.7.

late 2015 i bought my Mitsubishi triton 2.4 mivec 4x2, i looked at the ranger but the sales staff in the ford dealer in Pattaya were lazy and not interested in selling, the price of the triton was about 80,000 less than the ranger, had a larger head unit touch screen and better wheels, the dealership staff were on the ball and helpful, in my 5 years of driving, 57,000k, its still looks as good as the day i bought it, its comfortable, accelerates well for overtakes, quiet, plenty of room for 5 on long journeys, service staff in pattaya are good, no trying to rip you off at service times.

i have replaced the wheels and tires with 2nd hand later model ones , as the old ones were dated from 2014, but still with plenty of tread, the only thing that has gone wrong was the Mitsubishi head unit, which i replace with an android unit, would i buy another one, yes i would other than i don't like the front end on the new mitsubishi models, do i need to buy a new one, then no, this one i have will see me out.

The new Nissan pickup looks good, i was in the show room the other day having the wife's almera serviced i think it now comes with a new 2.3 engine either single turbo on the lesser models or twin on the higher priced models

2019 Toyota Hilux,  Model E plus,  List 899,000 2.4 engine, 7 speed Auto, 5 year warranty.

Basically, 4 door 2WD,  leather interior,  got floor mats, tinted windows, 60-40, trunk liner, side floor boards, door protective handles, window guards, 1 year insurance.

Interior dash is pretty basic the way I like it, rear view camara no GPS, dial instrumentation  if you move up to the G model, everything is digital and you have console A/C for the back. The difference in cost 969,000.

When time to buy I paid cash 859,000.  Although I have only 15,000 Kilos drive only upcountry to wife farm it has been great 650 KM, just over a half tank.

Good luck

1 point for consideration may be the service intervals on new motors  . On my ladies Mitsu Attrage there is no escaping servicing because of low mileage as they also state a time period regardless of the motors mileage . Some of the services are not cheap and only yesterday when having a 2 year service they told my lady that the battery was only working at 80% and needed replacing for 4000 baht . I politely rejected their offer .

Have TATA solved their rust/corrosion problems?  I mean, you have to look at their trucks due to the price, which I did.  I found the metal and especially the paint to be pretty "thin".  Then I looked at TATA trucks operating around town and found that 1 year old models had the "cancer" coming on strong and by 2-3 years it was pretty much at stage 4 levels.  Maybe they've improved??

Your spurious 'cancer' analogy aside, is rust and corrosion a serious issue in Thailand though? I see more Tata's on the dry and humidity-free roads of Isaan these days.

I never rated turning radius as being a sales point when buying a vehicle whose purpose is ostensibly to go in as straight a line as possible.

But since you reckon it's important, the Tata Xenon sh*ts all over them all in that regard.

Turning Circle Radius (metres) - 5.5 (= 11.0 m circle).

Are the flame red Brembo disk brake caliper covers still only 350 baht per set at Chatuchak?

What gives you the impression I think it is important ?

Yeah the time period (months) or distance traveled has been a thing with new car servicing for a few years now.

Beyond your researching and quoting the turning circles of the top five pickup trucks in Thailand, nothing.

Nothing at all.

Don't know, if that was the price when you purchased your last set...How long ago ?

Yes, nothing at all.
