Thailand says to administer 10 million COVID-19 shots monthly from June

BANGKOK (Reuters) - Thailand announced plans on Thursday to inoculate 1 million of its most vulnerable people against COVID-19 by May and start mass vaccinations in June, with the aim of administering 10 million doses per month.

BANGKOK (Reuters) - Thailand's economy likely shrank at a slower annual pace in the final quarter of 2020 than in the previous three months, but it remained set for the deepest full-year slump in more than two decades due to the coronavirus pandemic, a Reuters poll showed.

PHUKET:-- Key leaders of Phuket business associations have filed a joint request addressed to Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha to reconsider the ban on local administrations and private businesses from buying Thai-government-approved vaccinations for COVID-19.

22 Samut Sakhon markets closed for three days of major cleanup and reorganisation

Twenty-two fresh and flea markets, in the municipal area of Thailand’s eastern province of Samut Sakhon, have been ordered to close for three days from Friday for a major cleanup and reorganization, to bring them strictly in line with health standards, to prevent a repeat of the widespread infections at Rodfai market, where 87 people were found to be infected with COVID-19 between January 30th and February 4th.

First phase of plan for two million doses of the Sinovac vaccine unveiled

Thailand's PTTEP announces largest-ever gas discovery in Malaysia

BANGKOK: Thailand's largest oil and gas firm, PTT Exploration and Production Pcl on Wednesday said it made its biggest gas find yet in a project offshore of Malaysia.

(Reuters) - The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said it had administered 46,390,270 doses of COVID-19 vaccines in the country as of Thursday morning and delivered 68,285,575 doses.

PHUKET: The Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA) has announced that the electricity supply will be temporarily shut off in parts of Tambon Thepkrasattri on Monday (Feb 15) and Pa Khlok on Tuesday (Feb 16) as work is carried out on installing new high-voltage cables.
