Pcx Dual shock Question

Featured Replies

Has anyone tried placing two yss dtg for mio/fino on their Pcx? How was it? Do you advice against it?

i have two yss dtg in stock but not for pcx.

thanks

i would just bring them to a repair shop and ask a mechanic if they fit, and also sell them if i dont have any use of them,

or trade for stuff that fits pcx

Go to YSS website.

Compare length between the two

If close, use them

the 1st dimension you would need to check , shock length , from mounting hole centerline top to mounting hole centerline bottom . i believe mio is ~ 300mm with pcx150 being ~ 350mm then , are mounting bolts same diameter . 3rd , what of spring rates ? as you're essentially doubling rate which i would speculate, provide a firmer, perhaps harsh ride ( with rear sagging 2 inches also)

I'm Pretty sure there'll be some discrepancy in the measurements.

I wouldn't do it... I run YSS shocks on the PCX, and they are a noticeable handling and load carrying upgrade, but if you put the wrong size on, it will upset the balance/stance of the bike and handling (and safety) will suffer. I'd try to find a set specifically for the PCX (available everywhere), and maybe workout some kind of swap/partial trade deal if the shop is agreeable.

I ride with a pillion a lot, and the difference it makes is notable. It was the first thing I did after buying the PCX as the factory shocks are built to a manufacturers price point, not to an optimum performance standard.
