Dual marriage drama - Cop could face disciplinary action for bringing the force into disrepute

A police spokesman has commented on the case on everyone's lips in Thailand after a cop in a police uniform was at the center of a widely shared marriage drama.

 

The wife of the cop filmed herself berating her husband who was in the process of marrying someone else. His own mother then walloped him over the head while monks were chanting. 

 

Hundreds of thousands have viewed and shared the story and footage. 

 

Pol Maj-Gen Yingyot Thepjamnong said that essentially this was a private matter and that the officer concerned would reflect on the detrimental effect on his own reputation and that of the force. 

 

However there are several rules that police must abide by and if broken can face disciplinary action - all would merit being held for 30 days.

 

These include damaging reputations, not supporting wives or husbands and causing damage to them and not representing the status and identity of a legally married spouse. 

 

Clearer was a 30 day jail order for those who register marriages twice. 

 

In the latest drama the wife - dressed in black - had taken the "tabian somrot" (marriage certificate) to a Buddhist ceremony while streaming live on Facebook.

 

It is not illegal to marry according to Buddhist tradition while registered as married to someone else. 

 

But the police force clearly has standards related to the behaviour of men and women in their ranks that go beyond the basic premises of the law, notes Thaivisa.

You can participate in as many as you can afford without breaking any laws.

hahahahaha, I am amazed at how many thai men think with their little heads only, they marry then want to have their cake and eat it too so have multiple ladies/mia nois even when their wife is a really good looking woman. I have stopped associating with one person I considered a good friend when he started banging one of his work associates, he has a great wife and kids but that was not enough. This really shows why so many thai ladies want a farang husband, they dont want butterflies as partners and too many thai men put drinking and womanizing ahead of their wives/partners although in this case how in the hell can anyone give the thai police a worse reputation than they already have

Nowt will happen to this Ratbag and as soon as another juicy story gets on Social Media this story will be forgotten.    Thai Men have such small brains and other parts that being a Policeman is to them only a job with a Pension attached; any Moral Responsibility or concept of being a 'Role Model' for Society is beyond their limited zone of thought.

Having watched the video , I have come to the conclusion that the man in question has already handed over a good bit of gold and cash.

Not once did the " bride's " mother appear to ask what the hell is going on , nor did the " bride " bat a heavily made up eyelid.

I just love Thai news; today it was the following headline making my day
"bringing the force into disrepute"

If this is the only problem of the "force", then Thailand is blessed with a perfectly functioning, fair, honest and law implementing police force second to none. 

Reality though presents itself - at least to me - slightly different!
