March 3, 20215 yr Finance Ministry Seeks More Fund for Co-payment Scheme BANGKOK (NNT) - The Finance Ministry is preparing to seek the Cabinet’s approval for additional funding for the Rao Chana (We Win) scheme following the better than expected number of registrants. Fiscal Policy Office (FPO) Director-General Kulaya Tantitemit said the number of registrants exceeded the target of 31 million and could tally more than 32 million. Of the total, 13.7 million are identified as state welfare cardholders, 8.4 million are those participating in the co-payment subsidy scheme and We Travel Together tourism campaign, with the general populace making up the remaining 8.95 million. She said part of the reason for high number of registrants is due to the setting up of Krungthai Bank branches across the country as designated points for offline registration for those without smartphones. -- © Copyright NNT 2021-03-03 - Whatever you're going through, the Samaritans are here for you - Follow Thaivisa on LINE for breaking COVID-19 updates
