Thailand has been declared the hub of medical wellness tourism worldwide.

And ganja will play its part in the health of the globe as tourists beat a path to Thailand to get well.

And even stay for twenty years for just a few million baht and get all the treatment they need.

The TAT and business partners gathered at the My Ozone hotel in the hills of Khao Yai, a health resort.

It was a seminar called:"The Kingdom of Thailand: The World's Ultimate Medical Wellness Tourism Destination and Cannabis Retreats", according to Manager

Everyone who is anyone in the wellness world was in attendance with a picture unimaginable years ago accompanying the article.

Polite ladies with coiffed hair dressed in Thai mudmee silk next to a man with a weed leaf on his t-shirt.

All smiling.

Chamnan Srisawat, a tourism business leader, spoke of the devastation of the pandemic that he said had caused tourism to be static since April last year.

Alright it was more like February, but let's not split hairs when there was so much positivity to enjoy, notes Thaivisa.

Chamnan said they were all looking towards MWT - Medical Wellness Tourism as a way out of the slump.

Siriya Thepcharoen of Nusasiri Co Ltd spoke of accreditation from the American Accreditation Commission International (AACI) that will lead to the "WellHotel Training Course For Wellness (WHTCFW) for people in the industry to learn the tricks of the wellness trade and attract all those tourists.

In addition she spoke of the "Blue Diamond Card" a 3.5 million baht membership card that will guarantee 20 years of visa free residence in Thailand.

Yes, people will not need to go any where and will get "Premium" grade healthcare.

This will lead to sustainable tourism.

Thanat Chiawcharnaksorn - the man in the ganja t-shirt - heads up "Thanat Herb" - a business with experience in herbal remedies and food supplements who is now in the ganja field under something called "CSR" (that Manager didn't explain).

He'd be working with Nusasiri and My Ozone on the cannabis angle.

Will I be able to get a Wellness and Cannabis Visa to enjoy Anutin's personally grown products.  Better yet, will I need to be quarantined or will I be able to have an Area lockdown so I can run to get my munchies during the late night hours...

Shame that the air quality index will be 'unhealthy' or 'hazardous'.

Get your rabies shots in case you get bitten by a distempered soi dog if you ever walk anywhere.

Well if you allowed to quarantine with a kg of fine Thai product it would ease the pain somewhat and if that quarantine was at the Happy Inn on Mae Nam beach on Ko Samui then I'm sure there would be no pain at all.

Ladies and gentlemen, may I present ...... Thailand - The Hub Of Hubs ????

With premium grade cannabis? Doubtful.

TPTB (the powers that be) really need to take a trip to Los Angeles and see what is available in the dispensaries there.  Only then will they realize that their product wouldn’t even come close to being premium grade.

Now that’s an oxymoron!

Seriously, would you give those people in the picture 3.5 million Baht? ????

I believe it would be going to the government or maybe the Thai Privilege Card Company (Elite Visa folks) as part of some new "Blue" visa scheme.

Wellness and canibis tourism and living go be a good sector and money maker for the Kingdom. However, they need to legalize all forms of Marijuana use (medical and recreational) and products.

They really should stop dancing around the "elephant"" in the room. Nobody is going to be excited by being able to buy noodle soup with a leaf on top.

The locals will probably appreciate the limited medical benefits of low-strength oil, but a foreign tourist (when they can arrive) who knows enough to be interested in medical cannabis will quickly determine that the Government program as it is now is "all hat, no cattle".

Only full recreational is going to make the cash registers sing...

Two years have gone by and there is still not a drop of CBD to be had in the kingdom. They need to cut the BS and get moving on this.

All I can see is empty pockets, empty heads and smiles all round.

Recreational marijuana has been legal in Colorado for years. What can Illinois learn before its residents start firing up? - Chicago Tribune

Chiang Mai is already recognised as a regional hub for addiction rehabilitation centres with reasonably priced real estate, medical expertise, food and delightful recovery surroundings.. https://www.abc.net.au/news/2015-04-22/australians-addicted-to-ice-seeking-rehabilitation-in-thailand/6397992

Now that's wellness. Also got the spa and massage capabilities well and truly covered throughout the region.

All we need is enlightened reform with cannabis and yep, Thailand would be right up there.

Yeah, but this time I hope it's a success. Cannabis could really change things here. You could have little home growers specialising in some dank buds and tasty edibles all across the country. Imagine exporting these crops to America & Europe where the price is much higher.

Tourists would flock here... Thailand would be known for sex and ganja, and i'm pretty sure these things work really well together too.

Mrs Ubon just splashed some cold water all over my face - I got a bit too excited at all the possibilities!
