50,000 baht for death, loss of limb resulting from murder or physical attack.

How comforting!

Someone has truly realized they messed up big time here, and is still trying to make money, instead of including it for all Thais, and even those not in the 30 baht scheme.  How comforting.

So they have essentially admitted that Thai society is violent and a subset of its population is prone to physical assaults and murder, enough so that it warrants special insurance policies.  You can't make this stuff up.  But a short view of Thai daily TV news would show example, after example, after example.
They should offer that policy to tourists too - at ten times the price, of course!

The micro-insurance provides a 100,000-baht payout for death, loss of limb or disability resulting from traffic accidents, or 50,000 baht for death, loss of limb resulting from murder or physical attack.

Policyholders who require hospitalization from a traffic accident or side-effects of Covid-19 vaccination are entitled to 300 baht a day of compensation for up to 20 days. The coverage also includes a 5,000-baht payout for death from Covid-19 vaccination. In addition, anyone insured who has contracted Covid-19 is entitled to 3,000 baht in coverage.

And based on the payouts, they admit that Thais face greater danger first and foremost by being on Thai roads, and secondly by violent, murderous psychopaths.  Next highest risk is death by vaccination followed by simply contracting Covid.  How entertaining.

More like a feeble apology for letting inter provincial travel continue in large numbers, when they should really have stopped it.
