TAK, April 20 (TNA) – Officials arrested four Rohingya men from the Rakhine State of Myanmar after they had sneaked into Mae Sot district. They admitted to each paying 100,000 baht to smugglers.

Local administrators, soldiers and police laid siege to an overgrown area beside a new road near the Thai-Myanmar border in Tha Sai Luad sub-district after villagers had informed them that a group of alien men was hiding near their village.

There officials arrested the four Rohingya men whom smugglers had led across the Moei River to the Mae Sot bank. The illegal migrants wanted to travel farther to Malaysia but their smugglers had them wait without food in the overgrown area long enough to be spotted by local residents.

They forgot to pay their friends on the Thai river bank, though
