The provincial communicable disease committee of Phichit province plans to lock down two villages in Sam Ngam district, after seven members of two families were found to be infected with COVID-19 and about 30 others were listed as being at high-risk.

According to the committee, the seven infections in 2 of Nong Sone sub-district, were linked to people arriving from Bangkok during the Songkran festival.

Total infections in the province, since April 1st, are recorded at 14 and the test results of 78 other people are yet to be disclosed.
