COVID alert for Phuket passengers on van to Nakhon Sri Thammarat

PHUKET: All passengers who were in a public transport van from Phuket to Nakhon Sri Thammarat on Apr 14 have been asked to self-monitor for signs of COVID infection, following an alert issued by the Nakhon Sri Thammarat Provincial Public Health Office today (Apr 26).

Tougher measures ahead for Bangkok and 5 other provinces as 2,048 new COVID-19 cases are recorded today

The Thai Ministry of Public Health will propose to the CCSA subcommittee, today or tomorrow, that they increase restrictions in six Red Zone provinces, including Bangkok, where cumulative COVID-19 infections since April 1st exceed 500 cases.

Phuket Town pharmacist angered by one-armed man’s saliva antics

PHUKET: A pharmacist in Phuket Town has gone public with her complaint against Phuket officials, including police, for the lack of action taken over a man who has been harassing her customers for money, and who has since intentionally wiped saliva on the door to her shop.

Thailand aiming to procure 100 million COVID-19 vaccine doses this year

BANGKOK (NNT) - Thailand’s COVID-19 vaccine procurement target is 100 million doses this year. Currently, the country has 2.5 million doses of the Sinovac vaccine and is planning to order another 1 million doses, which should arrive in the middle of next month.

BANGKOK (Reuters) - Thailand has suspended issuing travel documents from India over concerns of imported coronavirus cases, as more venues were closed in Bangkok on Monday as part of efforts to contain a third wave of infections in the Southeast Asian nation.

PHUKET:-- The Thalang branch of the Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA) has announced that the electricity supply will be temporarily shut off in parts of Cherng Talay on Thursday (Apr 29) as work is carried out on installing new high-voltage cables.

Vaccine distribution is Thailand’s urgent national priority
