I entered on my STV at the 19th of february with the ambition to extend it 2 times a 90 days. Meaning, my first extension will be made at the 19th of May and the second and last one on the 18th of August. To my understanding my final date would then be 13th of November. 

 

However, I stumbled upon this text: 

 

"Visa extension must be requested before the expiration of your entry stamp. As the Special Tourist Visa (STV) is available from 2 October 2020 to 30 September 2021 only, those who are permitted to stay in Thailand for not longer than until 30 September 2021 and wish to extend the length of stay with STV, must submit an application for visa extension before 30 September 2021."

My interpretation is that this not interfere with my ambition to stay the "full length" (my 18th of august extension gives me additional 90 days). 

 

However, a friend claimed today that even if I extend - lets say - in the middle of august my final date would be 30 of the september (since that's the last day of the STV program). 

 

Any clarifications on this matter? ???? 

You will get a 90 day extension when you apply for it.
