PHUKET: Phuket has suffered its first death in the current outbreak of COVID-19, and a new cluster of infections in the Phoonpon area of Phuket Town has pushed the infection rate in Phuket higher than the national rate. 

 

 

 

The COVID fatality was a 71-year-old man who passed away yesterday morning (May 11), Phuket Provincial Public Health Office (PPHO) Dr Kusak Kukiattikoon has explained.

 

The man already suffered from emphysema, and he started to receive hospital treatment for COVID-19 on Apr 13, he added.

What's the point of what ? Treating him because he was 71, treating him because he had emphysema, or reporting him because he unfortunately passed away whilst also have contracted Covid ? RIP.
