In the space of a few months, three variant COVID-19 viruses have been detected in Thailand, the British, the Indian, and the South African. While health authorities insist that mass vaccination will bring the situation under control, the presence of these variants has sparked fears that the ongoing infection wave will engulf barriers deployed to halt it.

As of May 24, Thailand had logged 132,213 COVID-19 cases and 806 fatalities. Most of the deaths and infections have occurred during the third wave, which only began last month.

South African variant

First detected in South Africa late last year, the variant known as B1.351 has since spread across the globe, reaching Thailand earlier this month.

for many weeks now they are suspecting they might already have their own thai mutation. The virus will have the last word.

and they also have the last sentence:

'Health experts have warned of the danger of a “Thai variant” popping up if the country is not able to control its ongoing COVID-19 outbreak."

what about the original communist Chinese version? is it still here? or has it moved on to destroy some part of the world they missed so far?

Is that the version that some allege was designed as a bio weapon, and others allege is just the flu?

Don't worry.. you see in Chonburi we have it under control already and cases are going down and the rest will follow.. and next year everybody will have 1 jab at least and some maybe 2 ....or 3 but we are confident that everybody is vaccinated before 31st December 2022

Or more likely a security lapse at the Wuhan Institute of Virology as they studied Coronaviruses while receiving sponsorship money from grants driven by senior US Virologists.

While still inconclusive evidence is growing that the the US was sponsoring research being carried in Wuhan.

The Chinese are continuing not to permit the release of documents of the research, the US us not wholly interested in digging too deep either as its fingers are also dirty.

Some interesting information out there. I don’t think this is a wild conspiracy, rather the most feasible of accidents.

Leaks from bio-labs are not uncommon (Singapore and UK have both suffered numerous leaks over the past 50 years - think smallpox !)

There is a big difference between collecting virus samples from bats and suffering a leak, and engineering a virus and having a leak. In the latter case, it would be easy to engineer a vaccine because the viral genome would be well understood. This means that the Chinese vaccines should be the best in the world.

I think it malfunctioned and broke down after barely 3 months... like most things from China.

The implications of a Thai variant: If it spreads to Europe, how long will it take the travel industry here to recover? There will also be a lot of attention over there to how a Thai variant came to be.

Good grief! It is thoroughly public information that Daszak, one of the WHO investigators, gave part of his NIH grant money to WIH. They published some of their research. There however was research done with Chinese military as well. That's not published.
