Thailand’s Food and Drug administration (FDA) revealed today (Tuesday) that all the necessary documents to seek approval for China’s state-owned Sinopharm COVID-19 vaccine have been submitted, with a decision expected soon.

Biogenetech is the Thai biopharmaceutical firm submitting the application for Sinopharm vaccine. It will take no more than 30 days for experts to review the vaccine’s quality, safety and efficacy, said FDA Secretary-General Dr. Paisal Dunkhum.

Two other vaccine brands are also in the process of submitting documents to apply for approval for use in the country, namely India’s Covaxin and Russia’s Sputnik-V.

Honestly, you can approve Flaming Hot Cheetos on an emergency basis for the treatment of COVID (it's a joke, to all those Ivermectineers running to Tops now, please return home), but the questions remain:

Are they suitable for the magical kingdom?

Are they part of the (non-exisitent) plan?

Can you source them?

Looking at the label in the picture it seems to have a 2 year shelf-life. It might take that long, with the marketing and buffalo lottery promotions it'll need, to rustle up any takers.

Like the minimum dosage, and the time between 1st and 2nd doses, open to reconsideration.

Website CP Group "we are CP" wearecp.com 6.1.2021:

News from the Ministry of Public Health announced on January 5, 2021 that Thailand will receive 2 million doses of the COVID-19 vaccine from Sinovac in China

"Why do Thai people use this vaccine?  Instead of a vaccine from Pfizer or the moderna vaccine that many people are familiar with.

Sinovac Biotech has a duty and responsibility to produce the COVID-19 vaccine.  Regulated by Sinovac Life Sciences, the company's vaccine is known as 'CoronaVac'.

The CoronaVac vaccine differs from Pfizer and Moderna vaccines because it is a type of vaccine.  'Inactivated vaccine' or Killed Vaccine is so named because in the manufacturing process.  The researchers use the dead whole pathogen to make the vaccine.  This type of vaccine stimulates the human immune system to produce antibodies.  And because it is produced from dead germs  Therefore it does not cause disease when the vaccine is in the body as well.

The CoronaVac vaccine is currently in Phase III clinical trials in Brazil, Chile, Indonesia and Turkey, where this phase of clinical trials is considered an efficacy phase.  And monitoring adverse reactions  The results from Brazil and Turkey were more than 90% successful.

Why do Thai people use the coronavirus vaccine CoronaVac?

In addition to the manufacturing process, CoronaVac vaccines differ from Pfizer vaccines in storage. CoronaVac can be stored for 3 years at 2–8 ° C, which is normal refrigerator temperature.  Point-to-point transportation and storage is possible in all areas.  The Pfizer vaccine must be stored at -70 ° C, making transportation difficult.  Especially in remote areas

For storage and transportation reasons, we can hypothesize that  Buying CoronaVac vaccine from Sinovac Biotech may be more beneficial in distributing the vaccine to all areas of Thailand.  But it is a pity that  Thailand can only order 2 million doses from the production capacity of 300 million doses per year.

Get to know Sino Biopharm, the giant pharmaceutical company of the East.

Sinovac Biotech is controlled by Sinovac Life Sciences, a subsidiary of Sino Biopharmaceutical.  A large Hong Kong pharmaceutical group with integrated research and production services.

By Sino Biopharmaceutical Company  Listed on Hong Kong's Hang Seng Stock Exchange in 2000, 'Sino Biopharm' ('Sino Biopharm' '(the company's casual name) has performed consistently well in its 20 years of stance.  Along with aging health and social trends, the company has been a factor in its growth and it was ranked 2005 by Forbes magazine as one of the Best Under a Billions in the Asia-Pacific region.

Sino Biopharm continues to be ranked in the 2018 list of the largest listed companies in the world in the 'Forbes Global 2000' list.  And most recently, in 2019 and 2020, this company is listed as the TOP 50 Global Pharmaceutical Companies ranked by PharmExec magazine from the US

Nikkei Asia news agency reported on December 7, 2020 that Sino Biopharmaceutical Company  Received US $ 515 million in additional investment from CP Pharmaceutical Group, enabling it to double the production of CoronaVac vaccine from 300 million doses per year to 600 million doses.  Per year

With this investment, CP Pharmaceutical Group's stake in Sinovac Life Sciences, which controls CoronaVac production, increased to 15%.

At least this has WHO's approval already while Sinovac is still pending.

Yes indeed, The Sinopharm Vaccine has had WHO approval for over 6 weeks now I believe.

For WHO to not approve Sinovac before kind of smacks that something is not right with the Vaccine, apart from the incorrect paperwork being submitted to the approval committee  as the reason the approval has not been granted.

The question still needs asking as to why Thailand is not sourcing the Sinopharm Vaccine, but instead decides to source an un-approved Vaccine, which still has some time to go before approval by WHO and Countries various FDA Etc.

Charoen Pokphand CP is not involved in the vaccine order. Sinovac Of government both directly and indirectly …

"Due to confusion in online news about Sinovac vaccines, (1) CP holds 15% of Sinovac and (2) CP may be involved in the purchase of the Sinovac vaccine.  Wak of that government  Charoen Pokphand Group (CP) would like to inform you that  Such information  This is not true at all.  With the following facts:

Purchasing Sinovac Vaccine  It is a government-to-government (G2G) only. It has no direct or indirect relationship with CP.
Charoen Pokphand Group (CP) is not a shareholder.  Sinovac Company 15%, as reported by Investors facts are Sino Biopharmaceutical.  Which is a Chinese pharmaceutical company  Listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange  The Charoen Pokphand Group is the only minor shareholder of Sino Biopharmaceutical Company.

Fact The seller, Sinovac Life Sciences, is a subsidiary of Sinovac, seeking to raise funds.  To expand the production of Sinovac vaccine
Sino Biopharmaceutical facts  Acquired a stake in Sinovac Life Sciences of US $ 515 million, or 03%, conducting business of that company.  By Charoen Pokphand Group  Not involved  It does not own any shares and does not have any ownership rights in any Sinovac Life Sciences Company.

The Charoen Pokphand Group  It is only a minor shareholder in Sino Biopharmaceutical.  Invested through the Hong Kong Stock Exchange  There is no right to administer and intervene in any decision-making in Sinovac.

And the Charoen Pokphand Group confirms that  No direct or indirect involvement.  With the government's order for the Sinovac vaccine to enter Thailand as a distortion in the online media in any way.

However, if found  The information is also deliberately distorted and damaging.  Causing misunderstanding  The Charoen Pokphand Group needs further legal action.

I'd have more faith in a Chinese vaccine if the original nation the disease came from was say Switzerland and China rushed to the rescue. But rescuing the planet from what appears to be your own mistakes seem ridiculous.

Thank you for being bold; I agree.

Objecting to Chinese/Russian vaccines is purely a matter of principle to me. I'm not in a heat to get junk vaccines from repressive regimes bent on global domination/subjugation. The world has been living with the epidemics China has been exporting for centuries but I'll be d*mned if I'll pay them for it.

I am quite happy to hang out at my pool villa with my like-minded Thai GF, walk the pineapple fields, tend the garden and yard, and visit the nearby beaches. We buy groceries once a month along with a few cases of beer. Very little has changed in our lives so the pandemic has been only a minor annoyance to us.

We both plan to wait for Moderna or Pfizer.

It leaves more for those who choose the Chinese Vax. That's important since you'll probably need a booster every two months. ????

The wise in the rest of the world see China for what they really are but Thailand, unfortunately, has let the Chinese immigrant take over their country.

Bring back Paw Piboon, who was the ultra-nationalistic leader that invented Pad Tai as a way to encourage Thais not to eat Chinese noodles. Copying European leaders(eg the car of the people), he made 'the food of the people', the direct translation of Pad Tai. Thai means people and not freedom, as many people think.

Now before we go bucketing the Chinese on this vaccination My son who lives in China and he had this vaccination NO SIDE EFFECTS and he said its pretty good so give it a chance guys Not all things are produced in the west

Not having any side-effects is actually not a good sign!  A vaccine 'tricks' the body's immune system into thinking that a 'real' pathogen has infected the body, and thus antibodies are produced.  It is that rapid production of antibodies which can cause some temporary side-effects, such as a headache, cold/hot fever etc.

To have zero side-effects suggests that his immune system did not respond at all!  Was it Sinovac or water?

Sinopharm was approved by WHO and uses inactivated virus technology. Hopefully, Thailand will approve it soon due to shortage of vaccines in Thailand.

It really depends on the individual as well. Given the same vaccine, different individuals react differently.

Minor side-effects are good but not major side-effects like blood clots which can lead to organ failure.

When Sinovac was first introduced/approved in Thailand, both Sinovac and Sinopharm weren't approved by WHO.

I guess it is because Sinovac gave it free to Thailand but Sinopharm didn't distribute it for free....

or Sinovac had mass production earlier than Sinopharm?

Indonesia is using Sinovac in mass quantity and not Sinopharm probably for the same reasons.
