The two Sa Kaeo checkpoints on the Cambodian border will be open five days a week, up from three, to discourage Thais from trying to cross the border illegally, the Center for COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) said on Tuesday.

“Normally, the days to received Thai returnees is Monday, Wednesday and Friday and the quota is 100 people per day,” Dr Apisamai Srirangsan, the CCSA’s deputy spokeswoman.

“This is why some of the Thai returnees were trying to illegally walk over the border because they do not want to wait,” she added.

We are in 2021 are we not?

Difficult to keep out the hi-so who go gambling in Cambdia then go straight to the Crystal trip club without quarantiing on either side.

But for the common people spraying disinfectant in the forests along the border should be more than enough to keep them out.
